New Hesai solid state FTX LiDAR sensor in Mapix portfolio

Mapix technologies is delighted to announce the addition of a new LiDAR scanner, the Hesai FTX, to our portfolio.
The Hesai FTX is a fully solid state LiDAR sensor which means it has no rotating mechanical parts. Solid state LiDAR sensors (sometimes referred to as SSL) are the next generation of LiDAR and are replacing the original mechanical sensors. The benefits include a smaller form factor, a longer lifespan as the removal of moving parts reduces the number of elements of failure; and lower cost production.
The Hesai FTX offers an ultra-wide Horizontal Field of View and there are two options: 180° and 140°. Additionally the Hesai FTX is extremely compact measuring H 55 x W 60 x D 38.7mm for the FTX HFOV 180°; and H 55 x W 60 x D 32mm for the FTX HFOV 140°. Because it is small it is also lightweight at 160g.
All these features lend the Hesai FTX perfectly for applications requiring blind spot coverage, particularly in autonomous and robotics uses.
